Versatile Satellite Platform (VSP)
Aerospacelab's family of standard satellite buses, sold with its own imaging and communications payloads, from single demo satellites to full constellations.
Why it matters
Constellation builders need many identical satellites quickly. A mass-produced platform shortens lead times, and Aerospacelab also supplies 200 subsystem units for MDA's AURORA program.
How the technology works
VSP buses (such as the VSP-150) carry customer or in-house payloads for multispectral, hyperspectral, very-high-resolution, radar or radio-frequency sensing. Aerospacelab's Megafactory in Belgium is expected to start producing satellites in 2026 and reach full capacity in 2027.
